Re: RG500
The £8000 one, a no brainer. It's had a whole lot of work done, runs, has a 3 month warranty etc. The other is in pieces and requires a bunch more than another £1000 to put it on the road (and how the hell do you "bench" run an RG500 engine?). It's been on eBay before, I wonder if the buyer is now selling to cut his losses.
Still would love to own a RG though
Cheers Geoff

Re: RG500
The red & Black one would be nice but thats like $17,000 US .. i would have to sell off a body part to afford that and then there's shipping on top of that

the older i get the faster i was

Re: RG500
In the last couple of years I've uncovered a lot about what is needed to turn a stock RG500 into a great bike. Buying one without certain alterations done beforehand will quickly turn your rather expensive acquisition into a huge money pit. The thing is, a few of these alterations are not simple bolt on parts nor are they cheap.
After speaking in depth with one person who deals solely with RG500s and is highly respected the world over for his work, you can only lend your ear and listen to all the bikes shortcomings and what it takes to fix them.

Two strokes, its just that simple.

Re: RG500
Yes Dave, it looks clean and totally stock, and,,,,, theres no mention of any upgrades done to it either, so it may simply be a stock bike.
12.500.00 in Brit pounds is about 20.154.00 in US dollars.
