Sounds like the slides are not going to the bottom of the carbs.......

The fuel tap they've fitted must be an on / off type. If so them the vacuum line is redundant and they did right to cap it .... There would be a massive air leak if they didn't :-))

Yes, that's what you need to do, when replacing a vacuum (stock) petcock with a manual one. Otherwise, a very large air leak on that carb.

Alright awesome jus checking on that vacuum. The throttle cable like you said feels like the slides aren't reaching all the way down. The reason that problem arose after pulling out the slides and checking to see that the cutaways were correctly in. But I'm not sure. And wheres the best place to get these parts lists and repair.manuals...done some.research haven't found much. Thanks guys

Seen it before many times Jacob.......
what made you think the slides were correct when I first suggested you look?
did you get the bike back from the shop like that?........pretty poor if so, considering the size of the bill !!!!

i just thought the cutaways had been facing the front of the carbs so i turned them and kept trying until i figured it wasnt correct. yes i got it like that they said oh it just doesnt idle you have to keep the throttle open manually. comeplete sh!t show if you ask me. but i have one more question, i cant find my airbox cover anywhere, what would you reccomend using to make a new cover, battery cover aswell is missing. i took it for a ride yesterday and it was definitely an experience and kind of made it worth all that crap. the smoking had completely diminished at idle, still a little on rh cyl when gassing it in gear but not bad. Now i guess its time to fine tune all these adjustments on this bike. And are there any good after market levers and rearsets you know of. Im finding online catalogs but its all in pounds n im in usd. Thanks for all of your help everyone, id still be sitting here cussing at it if it wasnt for you guys! stay safe take care- jacob

Take it back to the shop! just a suggestion...
Alternatively, if all the other electrics are fine, maybe one wire has fallen off the indicator relay behind the airbox, left side. Its a bit of a wrestle to reach on the 380 (better-sited on 550/750 bikes).
