Look What I Found--> What do you think??

Post by Suzi66 »

Hi all,

You guys know I like (and have to ride) the smaller models. I found a few, here in Northern Michigan, just perusing the classifieds on Craigslist. What do you thing about these, as far as just being affordable acquisitions? This one, I really REALLY want 1972 RV125. I know it's not really a motorcycle, per say...but I love it!

What about This? The guy is selling them as a pair. 1974 100cc

Or, if I wanted to try out a trail bike (which is entirely possible...it IS Northern Michigan after all) 1973 Prospector

Any input?

That RV was made as a sand dune/beach bike and was something that Suzuki must have dreamed up somehow. Saying that, they were a nice bike to pop to the local shops on.
The small trailies were something that Suzuki did well and they always sell well in decent condition. If it was me, and the price was good, I'd buy them. They look in decent external condition. Do they run?
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Alan H: The green one is the only one for sale. The other one sold a while ago. The guy says it runs good, is fun to ride, and is it great condition. He want's $1,500, but is willing to take offers. Says he sold the other one for more. Seems high to me. I really like these funky style bikes, though. And, I can only ride the lower cc models. I can't buy it if he won't come down a little on the price. I just emailed him again and made him a little lower offer. What do you think?

titan performance: Too bad I can't send them over! I like them, but I like the funkier bike a little more. Plus, I don't know what I would do with 2 of the same bike. The price is good, though, for the pair. Would be a good investment.

just finished tidying up a 1973 RV125L model that came from Michigan last year with only just over 2000 miles on the clock and its a little cracker -a real hoot to ride - bought it at the Stafford show here in the U.K. last October and next week its back there as a show exhibit

I have 2 rv125's. They are awesome for getting around. Parts are cheap except for that air pump yours is sporting....big money just for that.

I have a 75 that is 4 spd. and a 74 thats a 5spd which is a better street ride than the 4 spd.

Buy it. If you dont like it you cab sell it to me !
