I need torque specification for front sprocket nut ?

I've read the maintenance specification sheet in the GT750 manual for a few bolts and what was floating around on the internet. But, none specify the torque for the front sprocket nut. What is it ? I understand the deal with the washer.

It would be the same as for the primary gear nut, which is in the spec sheets available on this board or on several web sites including mine at this link.

Not sure why it would need more - its on a spline, so the spline does all the work - the nut and the locking washer just have to keep it from falling off.

Yeah, I understand that. But, modern sprocket nuts average 70-80 pds. But, modern sprocket nuts don't use a locking washer to this sort. I just imagined it would still need to be of a higher torque. Then the lock washer would keep it there. Ok, 36 pds. Thank you.

Suzuki were still using a locking washer on their bikes such as the Bandits and GSX-Rs up to around 2005.
Now they use a thrust or bevel washer which is better, since you don't need to bend over a tab to the nut flat which always looked ugly.

Yeah, and they don't last very long if you often do maintenance.
