It was hot and somewhat windy and it was the first longish ride my 550 has been on this year.
Indy ran like a champ and with all the wind she drank gas like.......well.......like I've been known to drink beer on a hot day...
....but NOT when I'm riding.The beer had to wait until I got home.....but it was all the better for the wait.
We made a big circle today, starting off heading to the southeast of Calgary, stopping for lunch and then heading due west to check out a shop that had recently moved from Calgary into a small town to the southwest of the city. We then headed north back to the city to finish off the ride. About an hour and a half after I got home, we had a sudden thunderstorm/downpour, so I was glad I'd taken the shortcut to get home. I hate getting ANY bike wet/dirty after working for most of yesterday to get
her all cleaned up for today's ride.
