Incomplete GT380 Help!
I've just started working on a 1975 GT380. It is mostly complete; however, the oil pump cover is missing and I'm not seeing how the oil throttle cable is suppose to attach to the pump. The end of the cable does not have the end typical of a throttle cable (doesn't have a cylinder on the end). I haven't found any good pictures to guide me. Could some kind GT380 owner take a photo of this? Thanks!

Re: Incomplete GT380 Help!
The oil pump end of the throttle cable should look like a ball. There is a special slotted barrel that fits in the oil pump arm. That ball end then hooks into that barrel. I just woke up. May post a pic later. My bike is a 550, but I believe attachment is the same.

Did not remember correctly. It's not a slotted barrel, but rather a slotted pin. The ball end sits in a recess on the back side of the pin. Once in place, it can not fall out. The pin is still available from Suzuki. You need part number 16292-03112.

Re: Incomplete GT380 Help!
Thanks a lot! It looks like I need a new cable as mine just has a stubby end, not the cylinder ball and also no threaded mount on the cable sheath.

Re: Incomplete GT380 Help!
If it just looks like a short pin on the cable end, that is correct. I was wrong saying it was a ball end
