As far as the cylinders I caught this early enough this time and they honed nice. around 0.003" clearance though, but good to test.
I order another set of rings and waiting
When the ring comes in I'll take engine out of frame, flush crank case good , remove and inspect pump and test what final pump I use with a drill by removing clutch cover side case.
I will respond then
Too rich jetting can wash oil injection film away?

Re: Too rich jetting can wash oil injection film away?
The pump worked fine, both the new one and the old. Can't prove the flow rate meets spec, but the pump squirts oil right out the brass pipe in nice bursts. And, length of burst vary with pump arm position. All lines flow evenly too. I have done this same qualitative test on my T350 and T500, great bikes many miles so pretty sure OK.
I thought maybe I put the ring gaps misaligned with piston keying pin (all four, twice for Eight total !) Having the engine on my bench I was sure it was fine and practiced putting them in a couple times. I also thought I was off a whole letter step when I bought new Needle jets and recheck all my carb jetting and float level and all was fine.
However, the engine stills makes significant top end noise. I road it a couple miles and just said F this POS
History when I put the used crank in back when, then I did check the rods for side to side and true check via lathe centers using inner bearings as when check point. It was nice and maybe around 0.001” and so did not try to straighten. FYI, be careful checking true at counter weights for when you get to the crank pin you will see and additional +0.001" jump over them. I saw this on two cranks both lobes. I suppose this is because the crank pins are an interference fit at 0.003" if I recall from reading T350 factory repair manual. Should hav had the crank redone. 14mm rods were hard to find (some on ebay right now)
Now as I think I did not check was if the rods were bent this time. One piston top (just one not both?) that came with crank had some hammer marks on top. I suppose if it was at Top or Bottemad when he did this it could have bent it. Should hav had the crank redone. 14mm rods were hard to find (some on ebay right now).
Oh well I surrender on this one $$$$$ and Time.
The bike is cosmetically very nice and even has a NOS tank, nice chrome, wheels, brakes rebuild, new lines, Avon tires, etc. Way too much money and time to have failed
I have a complete T350 engine with early style heads. From the start I was going to use it, but decide to keep it original. Now it is going in this bike.
