530 O-Ring chain on a GT750?

Not sure the, GT750 just has a large nut and the washer is bent over to stop it coming off.

ok... so the models are different there. .... mine has the spocket then a large washer then a tabbed washer that all allow 3 bolts to lock it in place.(no large nut)

Yep, sure seems that way. My 550 was the same as your picture. Is there threads on the shaft, if so you could possible use a nut and washer. They are still freely available.

Holly cow ! That may be the worst conditioned front sprocket I've seen. You have teeth wearing in different directions. Lol !

72 gt380 will accept an O-ring chain with no modification.
when i test fit the sprocket and chain. i just pushed the sprocket all the way on and wrapped the chain around it. it rubbed the case.

i realized the sprocket normal goes on. then the next washer slips into the slot (you actually need to turn the washer in the slot to get the holes to line up) . and then pulls the sprocket away from the case as the 3 bolts tighten up.

yup pulled the sprocket away from the case with plenty off chain clearance.

Well, just to add a bit to this, I'm getting near the end of my restoration for my '70 T350, and without thinking, just ordered a nice 525 size O-ring chain. Tried to fit it last night, and , the pins just hit the engine case ribs, near the clutch pushrod. I just read the rest of this thread & realized what the problem was, good discussion. Guess the O-ring chains are just a bit wider, due to the O-rings being between the plates & rollers, and they didn't even have O-ring chains back in the 70s. The O-ring chain I had gotten (WPS brand) measured 23.2mm wide at the pins, which is just a hair too wide by the looks of it. Unfortunately, I already got rid of the original chain that was on the bike, so can't measure that. Guess that for now, I'll just order a standard 525 chain and when that wears out I may do a 520 conversion & use an X-ring. Or I could get a 525 X-ring (which from the posts & specs, appear a bit narrower), and maybe put an extra washer between the front sprocket & engine. Anybody done that on a T350?
