Well, we're off to Mesa/Phoenix again......

Post by H2RICK »

for three months of warm(er) temps than Cowtown......although the way the temps are right now in Cowtown (-20*C) ANY place in the lower 48 might seem warmer.
We're currently in ManiSNOWba (as it's fondly known to many Canucks) and it's pretty frosty here, too. We'll be hitting the road to AZ on Dec. 28th.....weather permitting.....and hope to be at our rental place in Mesa by New Year's Eve.
I'll have to pay attention at the wrecker's place in Phoenix this year to see if there are any Titans/Cobras there.......something I didn't do last winter while I was there.
I did notice at least one 550 and (maybe) a couple of 380's and 2 or 3 GT250's as well.
I seem to remember a very sad Buffalo but I guess I'll have to make a few trips back there just to "refresh my memory". :D
More news as/if/when available.

Well, we arrived in Phoenix/Mesa with only about 1 hour of really bad snow in the whole trip.......and that happened about 2 hours from the end of the trip !!! Go figure.

I've already been to the wreckers here (joining me was Bill R, the new guy at the Monday Morning Meetings in Calgary) and we had a great 3 hours of searching and poking and prodding.

What I did find was a mostly complete T20, a partially stripped T500R in magenta, a partially stripped GT250M or A and a fairly stripped GT185. Bill took some pics but I haven't got 'em up on PB yet so will post links when I get that little chore done.

Hopefully I'll get back there at least 3 or 4 more times before we return to Cowtown. Post any requests for bits and I'll see what I can do.

Hey Rick - if you come across any T500 battery box plate/stay/tool holder I could use a couple. Part #19 on the diagram:

or part # 38 here:

Thanks!

+1 on the battery box holder plate. Need one for a T250/T350/GT250.

Happy hunting.

True but you never know until you ask - the worst that could happen is Rick says there aren't any!

On some cable TV show (American Pickers?), someone will find a guy who has thousands of those battery box brackets in his barn.

OK.....firstly, here is a pic of that T20 corpse and 2 views of a small part of the yard in Phoenix.

Secondly, I'll be going back there probably next week so will look for the T500 battery/toolbag holder for you, Jim.
Ditto for the same part on that GT250, jabcb.

Fingers crossed, gents.

Jim and jabcb:

Sorry but no good news.
Firstly, that 500R is pretty much stripped so no joy there...not even on the ground for a radius of 10 feet was there anything like that holder, Jim. Sorry

Secondly, the GT250 did not have that piece, jabcb......and neither did the 2 T350's and 2 T250's that I discovered. Sorry

However, I will be making numerous trips back there while I'm down here so will keep an eye out for anything remotely resembling those holders for both of you guys. Fingers crossed.
