GT550J - Which choke plunger is correct?

Post by elliotw »

I noticed that I have two different styles of choke plunger in my collection of carburetor parts. One has a rubber insert that is basically flush with the bottom of it, the other is recessed and has no rubber at all. The one with the rubber part is slightly shorter than the one without. Which one is correct for my '72 550?

Thanks!

If I'm wrong I know someone will jump in, but I thought there was only one part number for all model years (13411-01010) and they all had the rubber insert. 8)

Hmmm. Perhaps the rubber has escaped from mine then.
