Hi all, I am a new member to this message board and new to any posting or forums. So it will take time to get up to speed with this new way of communicating with the world.I am from central west, New South Wales, Australia. Rode a lot of bikes in my younger days and now restoration of 70,s bikes is my passion plus riding weekends and longer with my sons and mates is great. Have kawasaki zx12r for fun and get the heart going plus two restored cbx1000,s and my new project gt750k (had a new one back in 1973)plus a gt750j to restore later on. So hope to get help and info from this message board CHEERS

Hello from Paul and Tim at Titan Performance.

CBX1000 eh? One of my faves. I had a silver CBXz 1979 model, in the early 80s. I loved that bike. I fitted a Marshall 6-1 Endurance pipe and it sounded like a formula 1 racing car !

Hello Neil and its great to have you here on the forum. Ah the wonderful CBX, one of the last bikes I'm considering to add to my list of things to restore, yours looks great.
The cylinder and carbs on your 73 bike are not correct for that year so check the engine number to see if its only the cylinder or has the whole engine been changed.
Two strokes, its just that simple.
