one of my exhaust clamp holders is sheered off on the outside of the jug.
i found one on ebay, not an easy little part to find so i nabbed it.
Now considering trying to extract the old bolt.
should i even bother, at the risk of making it worse?
i have a CL350 that the PO had tried to get an exhaust stud out of and it was so chewed up i just replaced the top end entirely.
i haven't had a clamp on that side in years and it seems to be ok, granted i check that the collar holding the pipe on is tight, periodically.
however i can't help but think air is gonna leak there and cause problems..

Take it to a machine shop. They have ways of holding it, and never get off center. They can probably get that out while you wait. Not a problem with the right equipment.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

Re: Exhaust Clamp Holder bolt extraction?
Yeah, it wouldn't budge between 2 extractors and a little heat.
I did manage to drill it out pretty nicely, and picked up a self-tapping screw to fit the hole in the old screw
Not the greatest, but seems to be holding..
Welding is the next thing on my list to get the hang of!
Thanks!
