I think the careful use of the English language as "brand new set, eye popping mint!!!!!!" means they are recently manufactured. If he said NOS or OEM then it would be a different story.

yes I'm famous now  well sort of.
got a few emails request rails/racks.

USA Ebay only a couple of times.
the trouble is that the USA doesnt give free listing.
and when they take £1 insertion fees and if it sells together with paypal the buggers take off 14% off the total fees so if I sell a rail for £75 inc p&p
and with the pecentage off that leaves me £64.50 then say £11.50 post and 50p for wrappings, materials etc, chroming £30 whats left £25.50.
this doesn't reflect the actual but just to give you the general idea in cost.
so I'm not gonna retire a filthy rich man!!!
anyway I'm looking into setting it up as a business.
webb page, advertising etc and getting away from ebay if possible.

I dont remember any one called Paul unless your refering P Miller,
he certainly didnt buy them of me.
how ever the guy who writing a report on his retro T500 in the CMM mag
his name is steve cooper and this what he wrote about my rails.....

I'm cruising Ebay.searching under the heading of Suzuki T500 some where in among umpteen pages , I see a thumbnail of a T500 grab rail HALLELUJAH on a closer inspection its not a nos item its a replica which means its not silly money. a flurry of emails followed by a gentlemanly exchange of funds sees a superbly crafted replica T500 grab rail in my possession.
metalsmith john mackay modestly reckens his range of tubular steel works aren't finnished to show standards due to the cost and resource restraints of pre-chrome plate polishing but it looks damn good to me and certainly on par with the original japanese chrome of the day.
once again a little digging and a few polite emails has revealed another expert quietly producing high quality facsmile of unobtainable parts.
Mr Mackay portfollio apperently includes periods Luggage racks, engine bars etc. and we at ccm reckon if you gave him an item to copy you'd be a very happy bunny.....
