Re: MB50
I've worked on a ton of the the other versions to those, known as the MB100. It was interesting how Honda decided to get into 2 stroke roadbikes when everyone else was finally moving away from them.
The MB5 and MB100 road models and the MTX 125 and 200 enduro models were all around the late 70s to early 80s time frame.

Two strokes, its just that simple.

Re: MB50
looking at installing a CR80 dirt bike engine, it fits right in and has 16.5 hp, vs 7. need to make a cylinder head mount is all, and install Mb magneto onto CR engine. once Oi'l injection system is removed bike will have more then double Hp and at least 10 lbs lighter.

Re: MB50
Hello-
I have two MB5's, both black like the one you show. A friend has a red one and put in a CR80 motor, says its the worst mistake he could have made. Talks often about taking it back out and returning to stock.
Unless you plan to run on a track, I would vote no. Think a stock one is hard to keep on the boil and your speed up? It just gets worse with a hotrod motor.
