I know some of his Kawi Triple stuff is questionable . the 400's pistons he sells have lower compression. Some have gone boom and others ( few have put them in) have been OK. Clutch plates fall apart. These are from China or elsewhere BUT not Japan as far as I know. They may look good until you use them..I'll stick with reputable suppliers .

The implication then being that this vendor is disreputable ? The pistons are made in Taiwan as are just about every other Japanese OEM piston. And Taiwan is not China, although I'm not even sure that will make much difference over time. The quality improvement just in the past 5 years has generally been huge. I've recently had a new genuine Suzuki part grenade which is making me grumpy - so don't ask me about 'reputable'. :? It would seem to me that if there were a huge number of returns or people having issues, there would be massive negative comment on the boards, rather than the usual small bit of sniping that you always see about any vendor.

I like the gasket sets he sells, and a few other parts like fork tubes for my '73 GT750 which so far are excellent - I will probably buy his brake hoses. I have his pistons in my '77 GT500 and no complaints, also in my '73 GT750 which I'm having to rebuild again due to the failure of a Suzuki part. The pistons weren't the problem and actually look good all things considered. Time will tell whether it was a smart move or not, but for the moment I'm happy.

Cruzin Image aka Mitsuo Ishibashi is well known in Japan as importer of Chinese made aftermarket parts mostly for cars.
So don't have high expectations on quality.
When restoring my 73" Yamaha TX750, I bought complete gasket set from him. His kit contained every single O-ring and profiled copper washer you have to buy separately at mother Yamaha. Otherwise, the actual gaskets looked much cheaper than stock ones.
