bolt size database//lazy question.

Post by drøn »

Is there a bolt size database for the gt500?
I am looking to replace some bolts with stainless and was hoping to be able to place an order tonight without having to go out in the rain and dark and take out the bolts and measure them.
I am specificaly looking at the ones for the clutch and fywheel cover, those that hold header clamp things to the cylinders and the ones holding the seat and mudguard. Just in case someone has theese sizes at hand.
Thank you very much!

If you take a look at you parts catalogue the bolt sizes are in the part numbers!!

I included a bit about decoding Suzuki part numbers in the Field Guide at this link:

http://oldjapanesebikes.com/fieldguide/ ... mbers.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Looking at the parts listings, case cover screws normally can be decoded correctly, but other bolts - typically the longer ones - not always.

If at first you don't succeed, just get a bigger hammer !
