I have posted on a few strings about "Leak Down Tests" What I get is a PM of how to do it.
I used to seal the exhaust and the intake and pressure down the spark plug hole. It worked but I dident like disturbing the fit I had with the carb boot.
Now I use this device I made.
I took the intake boot to my local hardware store and found that a 1" schedule 40 cap fit the best into the VM 32 boot. fitted a 1"x1/4" bushing and some other fittings. I ordered the tire valve and gauge from McMaster Carr. Iv been using this a few times and feel its a time saver.
After I have set the exhaust gasket and the intake pressuring device. I use the C02 tank off my kegerator because its faster than the bike pump I used in the past.
I check my seal around my devices with kids bubbles. Don't want any faults readings. The glycerin in the mixture works better than just dish soap.

I have extra parts and can make more of these with a small design change with the PVC fittings. I only have the mikuni 32VM sized out for now but it wouldn't be hard to fit others. I would just need to know what carb it is.
