My GT550K is the blue color. I looked up the color options for the 73 model and they show the green, blue and a gold color.. I have never seen the gold one.. I have seen the 72 550J in gold.. Does anyone have or know where to see a picture of the 73 model in gold? I am getting my bike painted soon, and think if the gold looks good I would change to that color, since they say it was correct for that year. The blue/purple is ok, but I cannot figure why they used a green stripe with that color.. I do have the blue paint and stripe already just in case.
Thanks for the help.
Allen...... Still wasting CCI.

Re: GT550K color
Hi,
As far as I am aware, Suzuki never made a GT550K in gold. Only Colours available where Lime Green & a blue colour called hermosa blue.
Unless gold was available for different markets. I would be interested to know.
According to Glen Reay the UK VJMC Suzuki GT specialist the only colours available for the UK market was Lime Green & Blue.
I had a quick search on the web & the only picture i could find was a body set offered for sale by a dutch company

Here is the site where I found the color.. Its a list of all Suzukis made... http://www.suzukicycles.org/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I too thought the only color was the green and blue, but it also says gold... The stripes on the gold tank you show have a black stripe which looks better to me...
How much is the gold body work for sale, or can you find out please.
Thanks again..
Allen.... Will ride for food !!

Re: GT550K color
Not to sure if the source on that Suzuki site is reliable, I have never seen a gold 73K 550.
Would be interested to see a few pictures of your GT550, I will be starting to restore my 550 soon & will be posting updates as I did with my T500M resto.
I will do a search & see if I can find the site that pic of tank came from.
