Custom built or special tool ideas??

Post by Suzsmokeyallan »

Is there enough interest or ideas to create a new forum listing or a sticky about making special tools in your shop for certain applications.
Many times people come up with an innovative idea for solving a problem only to have it get buried in the past threads.
Naturally if you submit an idea you will need to supply photos and dimensions of the tool so others can easily recreate the item for themselves.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

Well I sold the GT550 so don't need that one anymore Coyote, but if you happen to do a GT750 or T/GT500 one, then keep my name on the 'damn right I'll take one ! ' list ! 8)

If you go to a bicycle store and buy the old style bottom bracket lockring tool it fits the GT perfectly, as well as ALL the bikes from then that use the four slot steering nut.
you can usually get one for a pittance.
This is a new twist on the tool with some extras thrown for around $24.00. You can see the adjuster nut end with the hook for the slot as well as other sizes.
