For those of us in the U.S.....if a US dealer calls Suzuki to order this they are told not in stock and discontinued. However, Canadian dealers can still order through Suzuki.
Odd but true.
Tyler is still the man.

Yep - I did previously post some contact and order information for folks in the US if they wanted to order these. See this link further down in this same thread.

Re: Waterpump gear....odd info
Isn't it odd that Canadian and British dealers can get this, but when a US dealer calls they get 'discontinued'?
Since Fred is out of the gear making hobby I'm going to take one of my old gears to a local machinist and see what he quotes me on turning out a couple of aluminum ones. If I can get 'em for the $140 that they were going for here for awhile I'm all over it.
With shipping it cost me $143 US for two gears. Certainly worth $140 each if I never have to worry about 'em again.

Actually, there are probably twice as many 'vintage' items available from Suzuki in the USA than there are in Canada !smoketriples wrote:Isn't it odd that Canadian and British dealers can get this, but when a US dealer calls they get 'discontinued'? ...With shipping it cost me $143 US for two gears. These gears in many cases have lasted just fine for lots of miles, and for over 35 odd years - I don't know about you, but if I replace mine now with a nylon one its unlikely I'll ever have to replace it as in 30 years time as I'll probably be pushing up daisy's !
