Re: My Custom GT750's
Dave, I contacted Cometics earlier this week and they will make the head gasket in several different thicknesses. You should call them and see if there is any way they can back into the numbers you are looking for. I know its unlikely but a gasket is only $58 bucks. Decking is almost 2 X

Re: My Custom GT750's
Dave,
Are you 110% sure the block is sitting down hard against the crankcases? they tend to hang up on the step on those two studs.
If that's not the issue try a different base gasket. At this stage I wouldn't worry too much about .005 too much. I'd bolt it down and run it.

Re: My Custom GT750's
Well .. did i make a rookie mistake ( thanx for the thought Richard ) .. the last couple of trail assemblies i had left off those super thick lock washers and the durn head bolts were bottoming out in the bottom of the stud holes in the block after the .092" had been machined off . The block was tightened well so it didnt seem to move but it must have been just enough to mess up the measurement . I put the lock washers back on the head bolts and torqued it all back together and now i am right at .048" across so just a smidge tighter that the .050" i was shooting for but still within tolerance . so yea time to move on

Thanx Kevin , the windows are fully open when the transfer ports are also fully open so the plan is with proper chambers it can still pull mixture in to the chamber even at BDC thru all 3 ports

Re: My Custom GT750's
Today i machined the 72~73 pistons designed for the big end thrust washers to work with the crank with the small end thrust washers so it had to machined out from 24.5mm to 26mm http://suzukidave.myphotos.cc/suzukidav ... ction1.gif" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Nice choice....I like the look. Is that an offset drive sprocket I see? (not that i didnt notice the reeds and fuel injection...)

Re: My Custom GT750's
Kevin , its the GS750 tranny output shaft , it has the newer style splines, a bit wider and allows the newer chain widths too so i can run the 520 chain .

That's looking good Dave. How long until you get to start playing with the EFI?
