2011 prices in US for excellent restorations & originals

Post by jabcb »

Posting for US sales for 2011 of bikes in excellent condition.
Should be a good thread for those of us interested in pricing trends.

If there is interest in this thread, I'll periodically add the eBay US street bike sales I find interesting.
Please add additional sales using the same format.
Include an image rather than a link. That way we can still see the images after the links expire.

Hmmm.....apparently vintage bike pricing for quality stuff is taking an uptick.......and if those bikes SOLD for those prices, then the economy in general is on the rise. Good news all round !!! :D

Paul Miller was involved in restoration.
I missed that little kicker. I just love how some sellers advertise stuff.
"Involved"......that's just lovely!!!
Does this mean the seller bought a turn signal bulb from PM ??
Where is "truth in advertising" ?? I guess I'm just dreaming..... :D

Sorry, was trying to keep the description short. Probably should have been more explicit.

Better description: Sold by Paul Miller. Resoration by friend; Paul helped with engine & paint. Show quality.
eBay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0329590774

Another example of claims would be this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-Suz ... 0682104933
Hadn't decided if I was going to post this.
Description for this one might be: Restorer unknown. Very nice looking restoration.

I'm trying to keep track of the top end of the market.
Any suggestions on improving the thread?

Love those red rimmed tyres on the T500   Always felt they were the extra bit missing from the one I restored.
