I am looking for some information on the weight limit. I want to register a motorcycle and the clerk asks me for the maximum permissible weight. This means the weight of the bike (wet) plus the rider and passenger. All online sources show wet and dry weight. There is nothing in the shop manual about it.Can anyone help? In some countries, this information is stamped on the vehicle registration certificate.
I've got GT550B, year 1977
Weight GT550

Re: Weight GT550
My A owners manual states dry weight as 200kg. A litre of petrol or oil is just under a kilo (both float on water and water is a kilo per litre), a litre and a half of oil in the transmission and a couple of lites in the oil tank, plus a little bit for the air in your tyres
I've never see a total weight for any bike.
Just weigh yourself and double it if they need more.

Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.
