Dupli Color Engine enamel with ceramic from Autozone. Cleaning the engine is of utmost importance when doing this. It has to be completely clean and I used Kerosene first with a very strong grease remover/engine cleaner afterwards and cleaned it up with a stainless steel brush. Then lightly sand with 600 paper as much as you can. Wipe it down with lacquer thinners before you paint it.
Some pictures of the final product. Sorry for not posting in between it was a busy time. The report on how it rides is in progress. Let's just say it runs like crap off a shovel..As you can see on the smile on my face I am pretty happy with the result.

Did you have any problems with the paint chipping or coming off while tightening down the crankcase bolts?

this is an awesome bike built to very high standard.
I am currently building a BIMOTA HB1 replica with GT750 engine, also using JEMCO pipes. Have you done the stinger / silencer modification due to noise reduction or for design reasons? I have never heard my JEMCOS operating but I fear they might be too loud for European roads.
Any inputs about that?
Do you have noise limitations in your country and how did you pass?

Yes. I have been riding it around quite a bit and even got pulled over by the cops a week or so ago. It causes quite a stir wherever I go, most people have no idea what it is. Some figure it out quite quickly. The hipster crowd ignore it completely

Sorry for the tardy reply, I was on a 2 month trip across the country visiting National Parks. No I had no issues with paint chipping when installing the motor. I did have some after the fact but just touched it up with a brush.

The pipes are very loud. We do not have very strict control over emissions and noise over here in North Carolina where I live so I can get away with it. However I know how strict it is in Germany and these pipes will definitely be too loud. Your best bet would be to see if you can restrict the baffles more on the standard Jemcos.
