Suzuki 2 Strokes

I've disassembled the forks on my GT750 completely in order to do the mods necessary to install Race Tech emulators. While they're apart, I thought I might as well replace the fork seals even though they weren't leaking.
So here's my question: what is the preferred way to install the new seals AND does it make more sense to install the seals after I rebuild each fork leg or before I rebuild the fork leg?
