Yes. I'll have a word. The guy wants a couple of 550 exhaust pipes of mine.

easy way to check a coil? ohms on a multi meter. orange to white should be around 4.1 ohms. but that's disconnected, so may be different if connected. try it, you aren't going to hurt anything. btw, did you leave the fuel switched on? i know they are vacuum taps, but they can leak. good luck :D
cheers, dd.
p.s. while you're at it, check the orange and the white wire connections as well, you never know.

Spoke to him Saturday, and he's 'thinking about it'. I'll let you know of any developments.

Im not familiar with this .im busy Thur but fri im planning on getting some longer miles in.any thoughts ?

Usually a 2 stroke runs better when it's cooler as the air is more dense so the carbs seem to work better as the mixture is slightly leaner. Maybe your bottom end (well, the bike's anyway!) is a bit rich anyway but getting moisture in the intake or on the plug caps will make it a bit lumpy. Giving it a good run and some revs will do it good. What plugs do you have in? I usually run NGK B8ES in mine when they're run in and non resistor plug caps if you're on points.

Eve Alan ,im on Neutronic and B8ES plugs .Fri planning on much longer ride and using some revs.just spent last 2 hours cleaning all todays rain muck off after forecast said dry all day .typical.my mate is almost finished recommisioning his Kwak H2 stroker after 6 years in storage so hoping we can get out together if not i go on my own .need to make most of dry roads to get some decent mileage in.
