I've run into an issue. I had some work done on my engine, and the people who were doing the cylinder coating have melted 2 of my cylinders. I have been told it's the center and one of the sides. I do not know which side.
Do the sides interchange? Or is there a mark on them to ID which ones are which?
All answers are much appreciated.

Re: GT550 cylinder interchangeable?
Unfortunately the left and right cylinders do not swap, the cooling fins are not symmetrical.
I wonder how on earth they managed to melt the cylinders?

Re: GT550 cylinder interchangeable?
Do you know a good way to identify which is which? Like how the exhaust bolts are? I'm having to do it all over the phone, which is mildly annoying to say the least.
I was told it may have been too much magnesium in the aluminum alloy. But the person who's doing the porting calls BS, as he's never had an issue like that.
I will update as I find out more.

Re: GT550 cylinder interchangeable?
Left & right exhaust ports (where the downpipes fit) point slightly outwards. Centre is straight.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.
