T500 large footrest bolts

Post by Willsy69 »

Hi
Love the forum. It’s been a great help with my restoration
Can anyone tell me the size and thread pitch of the large footrest bolts?
I’ve used my thread pitch gauge and they seem to be M12 x 1.5 but I just wanted to check before ordering.
Cheers

Just to clarify. I don’t have the bolts. Just been measuring the thread in the frame.

All of the threaded fasteners are JIS. So there is only one thread pitch for a given fastener size.

Bolt part # is 09104-12101
The bolts are NLA. But if you are doing a correct restoration, then you can two via eBay:

I have what should be the correct bolts for the T500 cafe build.
You can save $$ by getting M12x1.25-40

The eBay seller lists the bolts on the UK eBay.

UK eBay seller Classic Bike Fasteners sells nice SS parts.
They don’t have the bolts you need listed, but might be able to help you out if you contact them.

i just checked on my spare t500 frame and can 100% agree with jab - the bolts are m12 x 1.25 thread, which is extra fine on this size bolt. normal is 1.75, fine is 1.5 and extra fine is 1.25. i was going to argue until i measured the threads of a bolt i fitted :D
cheers, dd.
