TC250 fork seal replacement help needed

Post by aaronroberts »

Hi all, haven't posted here for quite a while (I had to re-join), but I'm getting back to work on my 67 TC250. Can anyone lend some advice on fork seal replacement? I did a search but didn't find much for my bike. Any help or guidance is much appreciated. Thanks!

Printed manuals for your bike should be very helpful. The Suzuki manuals were pretty lame back then, so a Chilton’s service manual will also be useful. See eBay:

And when you get the old fork seals out, measure the OD, ID and height (thickness) and search for seals of the same size.

If the seals are not to bad, you may even be able to read the dimensions off the seal. Their numbers are the dimensions.

The seals are likely the same as used in the T250 & T350.
Those seals are NLA from Suzuki but are available from the aftermarket. Also, new Suzuki seals will likely be available on eBay.

That’s one of the reasons I’m a big fan of getting the old Suzuki parts manuals. It’s the manual the dealers used back then to get parts when servicing these bikes.

Compare the parts number to the T250/T350 number. Then get seals for the T250/T350. Easy & simple once you have the old printed parts manual.
