Hi Guys
i have recently acquired a T500m and going thru a learning curve with it . I have just changed the oil and retightened the shift cam guide bolt/neutral detent bolt / oil drain plug and the sludge trap bolt. The detent and guide bolt have been tightened to 12 ft lb / the oil plug to 10 ft lb and the sludge trap (10mm ??) to 7 ft lb.
Has anyone got any actual values or do they feel these are about correct.
Genuine suzuki crush washers used on each
any advice welcome.
regards
paul

Thanks for the welcome 👍👍, after a life of four strokes, pleased to be in possession of such a great icon (T500).
I am a novice diy mechanic so having a feel for’ torque settings’ is not quite honed yet. I have looked over the info sent and yes the detent and trans oil plug do indeed seem to indicate 12 &10 ft lbs respectively. It then seems to indicate that a10mm bolt which is smaller than the 14&12mm bolts for the detent and oil plug should be tightened up to 13-20 ft lbs from memory ( sludge trap bolt).
I just find it a little confusing hence my reach out to those that know more on the tech side .
Good interesting forum though 👍
