GM HEI Ignition on T350

Post by vcoke »

Curious if anyone here has done an HEI adaption on any Suzuki 2 strokes. I'm looking at all options right now for full CDI conversion and alternator upgrade on my 71 T350, though trying to avoid paying $400 for a kit.

Check out this link: http://home.comcast.net/~loudgpz/GPZweb ... EImod.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
AND: http://www.mynode.com/2wheel/?t=simple. ... index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
AND: http://www.btinternet.com/~jhpart/bkns125a.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Basically, to hell with the kit; I'm pretty sure the ignition can be done for roughly $50 and run off one coil

I'll be giving this a shot along with attempting to rebuild the alternator for higher output over the next month.

Interesting. I have used the old Chrysler modules on all kinds of things before. I have never used the HEI modules but I guess you want something small like a GM unit on a bike. Had any luck yet?
