Do I need a battery to get spark on a 1971 T350?

Re: tT350 ignition
You can start and run a T250/T350 without a battery. Just make sure the lights are switched off.
The bike doesn't have a voltage regulator. It uses the battery as the voltage regulator. You'll burn out light bulbs if you use the bike without a battery unless you install a voltage regulator.
