Hi everyone hope you're all well and keeping safe.

I'm after ideas of what wheels could fit my GT500 frame.
I have an SV650 front end but it's a three spoke alloy.
I have a CB400 and a Gagiva 17" rear that are also 3 spoke alloy. Both will need hubs machining and sprocket off-set but still might not fit. Swingarms are too wide.

So do I find standard wheels and fit discs to suit front end?
Or has anyone fit non GT/T wheels?

Cheers

if they've got to be 17" i can't help you, but 18" you could use gs wheels as they fit perfectly on standard gt front and rear ends. i've seen them fitted on a few gt's, such as the 550. if you're interested ask alanh [on here], as he's done it on one of his 550's. shouldn't be any problem with the gt500 :D
cheers, dd.
p.s. i've got a yzf125r rear wheel on one of my gt250's, that's 17" and obviously the gt is now monoshock [and reed valve]

Cheers DD didn't know the GS wheels fit.
I have the SV650 front so I can have half decent brakes and suspension the GT ones are ...poor.

The idea is to have a pair of matching wheels with decent front forks and disc/calipers.
I might have to make the GT wheel fit SV forks and standard rear wheel would be easiest as the frame/swingarm wouldn't need mods.

Have a read here - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11247&hilit=Earwig .
The original thread is here - https://www.kettleclinic.co.uk/kcforum/ ... =16&t=5620 which is on a 'sister' forum predominately in the UK, which isn't just for the 750 despite the name.

Settle down with a beer, and paper & pencils to make notes! The saga is still ongoing.... 8)
