1974 gt250 ramair frame
1975 ts250 engine
bottom frame rails now in and all 8 engine lugs made, plus aluminium rear engine plates,
so i can get the engine in complete pics to follow.
cheers, dd.

That's a pretty rare conversion. I'd be interested to know what the bike rides like, when it done. What made you decide to do it?dollydog wrote:1974 gt250 ramair frame

Re: What crazy things have you seen done with your model Suz
3 things mate
[1] i had a ts250 engine which cost me £100.
[2] i had a gt250 frame doing nowt.
[3] i've got too much time on my hands
plus, i had a look at the vic camp bike and quite liked it, but slightly modernised and
with lights. hopefully 36mm rg250 forks on it, because i like the look of those anti-
dive majobbys on them was going to start the exhaust system this weekend with -
don't laugh - an rg250 spanny grafted onto it piccy shows how far i've got. all that's
in the cases is the gearbox mainshaft and bearing and the front sprocket, so i could line
the chain run up.
cheers, dd.

Re: What crazy things have you seen done with your model Suz
Many of you will have seen my old T500M before, but for those of you that haven't.......
I've owned this bike for forty years, and wanted to restore it a few years ago. I didn't want it stock, I wanted it to look how I would have wanted it in 1977, but had neither the money, ability, or imagination at that time to achieve. Priority, was that it would still be instantly recognisable, to those of us old enough to know one, as the T500M it started out as. I like the tank shape, and think that, combined with the original maui blue, it unmistakably states, T500.
I wanted to customise the bike heavily, but subtly. I've changed or modified just about everything, but it's still obviously a T500M, so I guess that's mission accomplished.[*][*]
