I take it you've never seen the movie "Animal House".......John Belushi at his finest!

Pieces and parts are coming along nicely.
Frame and bits along with the tank are at the painters.
Waiting on parts to get here...........
I'm only searching for a few more items (that I know about).
I've been watching all the forums, ebay, etc.
Sent a wish list to four "vintage" suzuki folks, with no response.
Made one phone call to Dillon Brothers in Omaha and found almost everything I needed.
Its pretty amazing how much stuff is still available.
Then Ross623's first post here is "parts for sale"!
I found more thru him. And some parts I wasn't even looking for!
It's come down to just sending the chrome out now.
Engine ran so well I think I'll pressure test it before even thinking of rebuilding it.
If there's anything someone wants to see in detail as I put this together just let me know.
I've taken a ton of pix as I took her apart too.

It was originally black with the blue and gold stripes and that's the way its going back.
I bought the stripe kit from here: http://kz900.com/decals/suz/decals-suz-GT-Series.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They also sell a complete decal set.
I got a new VIN label for the headstock from a place down under......the order is out on the workshop computer so I'll post a link to it and also post some piece part pix in the AM.
I know, I know......this build is really boring without pix.
I'll try to get some up tomorrow.

Looking at the part numbers for the decal kits, it looks like they are Reproduction Decals products - but more expensive than if bought direct :(

I bought my replacement VIN labels from Tyler Technical Services - is that the same outfit you used ?

Tyler tech...exactly! Actually I think I found a reference to them somewhere on here.
The decals do look exactly like 'Reproduction Decals'.....just didn't find them first.
I'll know next time!
Here's a few pix of where I'm at.

Got all the painted parts back this weekend with the exception of the tank.
It's getting the stripes on it this week.

I've still got to send the few pieces of chrome out.

Modified the stem for the tapered bearings.
I'm surprised that Allballs doesn't mention this requirement before selling the kit to you!

Image

After assembling the trees and headlight ears there seems to be a little (.080) gap
in the stackup of chrome trim, seals, ears, etc.
Its as if the bearings are taller than the originals.
Has anyone else run into this? and if so, what was your fix?
