mk3 side panel question

Post by akendall1966 »

I think the panel on mine was from an earlier Cobra going by the badge's. Its a smooth pressing without the ridge \line in the pressing. At what point did the ridge appear, with the correct badge and old holes filled would this panel be correct?

1969 was the first year for the plastic side covers and they remained the same with the exception of the badges. The Cobra cover was more triangular and was metal.
The pic of the side cover is from my MKIII.

Cheers....Fred

Bloop,

Perfect, yes mine has the metal one from from a pre69 Cobra. Obviouly must have lost / damaged the original at some point.

I see repros on Ebay, so I'll get one of those.

Thank you.
