It's a number plate for the front fender. The Brits used them years ago. You know, "jolly good, pip-pip , and all that rot".

That's CanAm Dave's bike...I looked at that one a couple weeks ago at his shop.
In case anyone is interested, I can pick-up and hold for the buyer since I'm about 30 miles away from it.

Since you have looked at the bike what is your opinion as to value? I noticed he started the bidding at $492 (one $ per cc).

I know nothing of the value of old Suzi two-strokes (ask Lane!)... I know it has the usual things for a bike this age but seemed pretty good from memory. I am considering buying one of his GT250's.

All the RE5s and GTs I have seen have been eye to eye not eye to clevis.

RE5s have eye to clevis. The seller is Sam Costanzo, owner of Rotary Recycle.
