Suzuki 2 Strokes

Hi guys - monkey man here not with a problem on my kettle but this time with my honda 750.

I’m attempting to take off the carbs because of running problems/ lack of use / stale fuel - to examine and clean them but there’s not much room - any tips to do so - the haynes manual just says loosen the throttle cables and clips to the rubbers and pull off but it’s not that simple - do i attempt to remove the air box ? i can’t find a u tube article on this model to show how it’s done

I had a K6 for many years that I did close to 80,000 miles on. I do recall that taking the carbs out was not a lot of fun (but then my GT750 wasn't easy either). I didn't remove air box but you should be able to pull the carb bank back towards the box to get them out at the front. It may be the rubbers have just gone too hard so maybe try to source a set of nice flexible ones for when you reassemble?

hi guys just an update sorry it’s taken so long - we loosened off the air box behind the carbs and the carbs came out pretty easy - putting them back on was a bit more difficult - we had to split the air box and loosely refit the top half before sliding the carbs back in/on . once they were on we offered up the lower part of the air box and tightened everything back up - all in all it took us about 3 hours including taking float bowls off and cleaning all jets
