Got tags, insurance, and finally an inspection on the 550 today, so it is good for the Gap now. Put about 50 miles on it this evening, and it ran well. Still need to change the Trans case oil on Pinky.

Exactly why it has to be changed. It has to be changed?
Already figured that out from some of your other posts, that is what I bought. Valvoline instead of Coastal.Oh, by the way, it's used to cheap GL5-rated gear lube.

Blew out my left knee. Been waiting on this to happen for a few years. Guess now I will finally get that second operation I had been putting off. Have fun guys.

Sorry to hear that Eric. I'm heading out in about 30 minutes. I hope the weather isn't too bad, but there's rain in the forecast for nearly every day. Of course, the forecast WILL change.

I wondered what happened to you Eric, i was hoping you would be there to show off your refurbished buffalo.
Thats got to be a real pain now having to get knee surgery, I hope it all goes well for you.
We did have a good time with lots of riding etc and fun with little rain.

Some photos I took during the week at the Gap
A quiet day at the resort when it seems everyone took their 'other' bike out for a ride.
Allen and Frank, is Allen looking at Pinkys colour???
A quick stop at the overlook on the Dragon
Huddle house recently made this shed for bikers in their parking lot, from the left Josh, Frank, Greg and Terry.
Terry by his V-Strom 650 at a junction along the #28
A viewpoint stop on the Cherohala (Cherry cola) skyway. From the left Gregs GT750, Joshs GT750, Allans CBR900RR and Terrys V-Strom 650
900RR at Santeetlah viewpoint on the Cherohala Skyway
Ironhorse biker campground main building in Stecoah, from the left Charlie, Eric and Terry

Yea, sometimes things happen you have no control over. Was going to bring the spring but you know how that went. Still send it too Jacksonville?Suzsmokeyallan wrote:I wondered what happened to you Eric, i was hoping you would be there to show off your refurbished buffalo.

Buffalo took a back seat now to surgery. Was close but first things first.
Thanks for the well wishes.

Well wishes Eric and yes send the spring to Dave please. Frank rode his 69 T500II and he rode it well too. Allen made sure he whipped up the Triumphs throttle a bit to keep us happy and some of us not so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Joisey the scenery is beautiful, but it blurs by at times with speeds and following imaginary lines around corners as you reach MPH numbers not to be mentioned here.
