So who and how many of you guys on this Board will actually be going to the Meet this year?

Must be nice to put the faces to the names and catch up with old friends.

Hmm, maybe one of these years I will be there.

I'll be there, as will Tom and Jeff.

There is a place that rents Honda dual-sport bikes for about $100.00/day.

I'm gonna try to be there. Was hoping to have the Kawasaki done by then but I guess I'll be bringing the lil' Orange monster if I can make it.Depends on if I can hold up to get everything done at work by then. The only reason I got to come last year was my Ex Boss had Back Surgery.

I'll be there with the 68 Cobra and freshly redone 73 GT750.

And you better be there Jug, it's in your back yard.

No way I can make it this year... just cant get away from work and school plus the house we stay at isn't dog friendly and no one to watch her while I'm gone...
I was really hoping but just not going to work out. Seriously bummed!
Sounds like the rest of the usual Michigan group will be there though. I will be thinking of you though, be safe!

Looks like I will finally make it this year. :D Got a bummed trailor already parked in my yard, that way I will have room to bring the 750, the 550, and the 500 parts bike. Haven't started the 550 for over a year, tried to over the weekend but the battery is toast. I figure if I don't get it started by then it can be a group project getting it running, right? I did get the gas drip it had fixed by replacing the petcock and adjusting one of carb floats Sunday. I do know the starter on it has a dead short, but have a spare used one to put on it.
By trailoring I also have room for assorted odds-n-ends like beer, food, some tools, and a couple changes of clothes. Any suggestions on what else would be good to bring along from WV with me?? I already plan on bringing extra 2-stroke oil and venison, figure both may not be available locally. :)
I should be showing sometime on the 25th. Only two weeks, and counting. :D
By the way, what is the recommended route to get there while hauling a trailor, now that the regular route is blocked? I will be coming down I-81 from the North and would just as soon avoid big towns and traffic.

Kevin,
I would probably go down 81 to 40 into Knoxville and continue south on 75 untill I reached exit 60, Sweetwater. I would then drive to Tellico Plains and catch the Skyway to Robbinsville. From Robbinsville you then drive 18 miles north on 129 until you hit the intersection of 129 and 28 and you have arrived.
If the skyway is too much for you pulling a trailer then I would drive south on 75 past Sweetwater until you come to Cleveland. At Cleveland I would get on 64/74 east and drive through Ducktown, Murphy, Andrews and turn north on 129 at Topton. From Topton drive north on 129 about 30-35 miles and you will have arrived at Deal's Gap Resort.
