Haynes 550 kicker

I like to use the Haynes manuals because they make it easy with pictures etc. Figuring out how to load the kicker on my GT550 has been a chore but I have it now. Sometimes it takes me a while....
Anyway, I see that their kick shaft diagram is backwards. They have the spring and stopper inside the gear. Trying to confuse someone who is easily confused....
