Prices are rising ,,again.

Post by Suzsmokeyallan »

Recently I checked a price on a Suzuki body part for my 98 Bandits. I wanted to add one more to my stock count of spares for this item as these particular painted items are soon going to be discontinued.
For the last four years or so I was buying the various body pieces as money could be set aside for them. The price was approx $131.00 a side and theres four on each bike so its a reasonably expensive venture.

So last week I checked the price to order another side to balance the count of pieces per side in my new parts stock.
The NEW price is now $191.00, and thats with my special discounted price at the place where I get all my parts.
So if you have something thats expensive to buy for your bike restoration, I suggest you get it now before another price rise hits or it becomes discontinued.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

I recall when petcocks for T500s were available from the UK for £79.99 (about $130US). I tried to buy one to be told the "UK price wasn't aligned with European prices" and they would now be £180.00. I found some locally for way less...

I've noticed a huge increase in the price of NOS and good condition parts for the T500 in the last year. The good stuff is drying up. Lucky I have 99% of what I need. Perhaps I should scrap the project and sell all the parts...
