Heading West, any suggestions?

So I'm leaving Vermont in a couple of days with the family, heading across Northern NY for Ohio then on to Minnesota, SD, WY, MT and out to the West Coast of Washington down to CA and then across NV, UT until I hit Colorado and then who knows from there.

Any suggestion as to any great bike stops along the way? Museums, shops, graveyards or even something completely non-related that a visitor would miss?

And the Solvang museum is well worth a visit as well - open on weekends, and then by appointment through the week although if you stop by the admin office they will open it for you. This is also a good link to check before travelling - lots of places listed.

Thanks for that list... looks like I'm headed to Anamosa, IA so I can get some bike time before hitting Mankato and Walnut Grove, MN for the wife and daughter

I'm hoping he still has the Von Dutch... I'd love to get a closeup look at that!
