Trick to remove chrome cylinder bolts on 750 ?
Actually they are nuts. Mine, like so many others are rusted badly. I would like to replace them or polish the ones I have. I warmed the motor and gave a few intermediate tugs on a wrench and they won't budge. I don't want to deal with the nightmare of breaking one, being I have no reason to open the motor anytime soon. But, for only having 22 pounds of tourque. I felt I should have been able to crack one or two that I tried. I didn't bother soaking the washers or heads. Thinking that is not where the problem lies. Is there a better technique or trick to accomplish this to reduce the risk of breaking the actual cylinder bolt ? Or any other suggestions ? Has anyone ever seen caps made to these sizes ?

Dillon's has the nuts. It's a heavy hit though at $11.13 each. That's nearly $125 for a set of 11. As far as removal, I would apply heat to the nut with a propane torch. Stay on it a while to get it hot. Should break loose unless the nut and the stud have become one. Tug a little harder.

Its better to buy stainless from board member Mark Read, his are about the same cost as OEM but are far superior items and he supplies the washers in s/s as well.
Two strokes, its just that simple.
