To the on ramp
Just needed to post one more time to get to 200. I'm to the on ramp baby yeah! Never thought when I signed on a year ago I'd get so addicted to the site but it's funny how hobbies can do that. This board truly has a great community of enthusiasts and my bike wouldn't be on the road today if it weren't for the knowledge and expertise of its members.
No really... it's supposed to smoke.

I think there's a lot of people, that would be stuck, if it wasan't for the knowledge and help from all the people, on this forum, (and one's like it) and there would be lot of suzuki's sitting behind barns/in the back of the garage/up against the back of the house/under a bush is the garden! And they come from a time when things were mad to last, and that's why there still here and have a very large following. There's a lot of bikes made now, that will NOT! be around in 20/30 years from now! and if there is, please tell?
And i've noticed that, just lately, that the parts prices are going through the roof, as with the pricecs of the restored bikes, and uesed prices. And also, the amount of gt750's that are being parted/broken up for parts, is very large.
And if you was to take, all the parts, sitting on shelves/in boxes under beds/ in cupboards/unfinished projects/ in the back of the garage. There would be lot's more of then on the road. Let's all, KEEP ON TRUCKING, and keep these fine bikes going on, for a good few years to come!!

I do not like to see a bike such as a GT750 parted out unless its got some severe damage to it. This is simply because it reduces the quantity of complete original bikes available for restoration, or having original patina that are in good enough shape to be used as is.
Its going to get to a stage soon where you will have to build a Buffalo up totally from parts bought off of Ebay.
To prove how this is already happening for example, with modern bikes I already did that for a MK1 Bandit.
It was possible to buy everything to buildup a 1200 Bandit completely off of Ebay, and keep the total cost below $2000.00, with the largest chunk of that being the cost of the engine being $500.00
Prices have taken a successive line of jumps upwards recently, usually again and again within every quarter. The first big noticeable increase to hit the US in awhile was around December of 2009, and blamed then on all manner of things.
The real reasons were a supposed cost increase of raw materials and manufacturing costs.
Naturally all present warehouse items got marked up with new incoming stock since they will not likely separate items of present versus incoming status.
You should consider buying all the expensive items on your wish list as soon as possible, because every three or four months the numbers are getting higher.
If you have some items in your stockpile you need to sell, now's a good time to flip them for parts cash.
