GT380 Drain Bolts??
Excuse my total lack of knowledge
, but I'm sure I've read somewhere that there are some sort of drain bolts (not oil) in the bottom(?) of the GT380 engine crankcase to drain petrol or something? Can anyone explain where they are, what their purpose is and whether they should be removed from time to time for example when servicing the bike? Thanks.

Re: GT380 Drain Bolts??
if you are worried there might be some build up in the crank case, your only option is to remove the SRIS lines and then the SRIS check valves. Be careful if you do this as the check valve filters are extremely delicate and NLA.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

Hi Trev, what year is your 380? Are the crankcases full of fuel?
Directly underneath each cylinder, on the front of the crankcase is a bolt. That's where the SRIS valves and tubing used to go. Most UK bikes do not have SRIS fitted, so just have the bolts fitted to blank off the holes.

Hi - no the bike is fine thankfully, as I said I just read about these somewhere and just wondered what these bolts were for and when they should be removed!Craig380 wrote:Hi Trev, what year is your 380? Are the crankcases full of fuel?
