One of the guys in my classic jap group has just bought a buffalo - told by the PO it is a "78" but (in the photo) it looks like a 75 to me. The PO also told him it was bought new here in NZ. However, it apparently has clocks with the 80kph speedo markings and the "warninglight" that comes on at that speed.
I've haven't heard of such speedos here before (but I guess anything is possible). From what you guys know, what markets would have received such speedos as standard? I'm intrigued by what he may have and have told him to get the frame and engine numbers so we can piece together what this might be. Thoughts???

Amazing resource - you can truly be proud of what you have accomplished.
After looking at the guide and talking to the new owner today, it looks as tho he has a Japanese market 75 model. (How the heck it found its way down to NZ, I'm not sure but it looks as tho it might have been inported in 1980.) He reports it has the "B" in the frame number. As he only lives down the road I shall go for a wander and have a look.
Thanks for the link.
