potential fix for vacuum petcocks

Found an interesting solution to petcock problems on a Honda Valkyrie:

Solution is to install a Dan-Marc electronic fuel value: http://www.dan-marc.com/79-afc11112.html
Valve costs $30 plus a little more for fuel line fittings & perhaps a mounting clamp.
When actuated, it draws 3/4 amp.

Don't know if the valves will work for our gravity-fed fuel systems.
Looks promising for the tripples.
Not sure about the twins, their alternators are pretty meager as it is.

Any thoughts or insights?
Anyone know of this being used on a Suzuki two-stroke?

T250/T350/T500/ early GT250 vacuum petcocks are still available from Suzuki but they are now around $330.

Manual petcocks are available and it seems like a lot of people like the Pingel, which is around $90.

Turns out Pingel also makes a vacuum petcock that looks like it will work. They have several different designs that retail for about $180. Its pricy but its new and a good bit cheaper than a NOS Suzuki part.

Petcock has On - Reserve - Off.
On is vacuum operated like the Suzuki petcock.
Looks like Reserve also functions as Prime & is not vacuum operated.

Pingel markets then for HDs. Don't know if the vacuum our old two-strokes generate will be enough to active the petcocks.

Has anyone used one? Do they work on our vintage bikes?

I see that Z1 offers two vacuum operated models that might fit - they list them specifically for Suzuki, and they have 44mm spacing. Cheap too !
