Scotland, wales and northern Ireland is run by one central government and that is our government.
for years they Scots/welsh want independent but still want to get hand out off us.
Scots and the welsh get free subscription for medicine where we have to pay amongst other things.
I'm all for independent and I mean independent no free hand out from us.
they should have their own tax system medical etcetc. to be honest they wouldn't last and they know it.
the trouble with our government they are to busy looking after others than their own.we're trillions in dept and yet still give billions in aids/war for others and the USA is the same. it doesn't make sense at all.

Its called keep the minority happy and to hell with the real people called the taxpayers, aka the majority.
Home drums should always beat first, and developed countries need to learn that simple lesson.

well the rest of uk have a history of being abused by the english in general and with dual citezenship it opens up a whole new realm of people who are not too fond of the U.S. either .
i would have tried canada (everybody seems to like them) but its way to cold for what seems like 10 months of the year.

And the answer from Edinburgh is take your aid and we'll keep our oil! That argument has been going on for years and the animosity towards the English from other British citizens does indeed date back to years of abuse which the Scots are still not over. Interestingly enough there's still a strong link between the Scots and French which dates back to that common foe.

History is the single most significant factor in the values and perspectives of a culture. And as someone said, the way you look at one thing is the way you look at everything

I admit that the first time we visited Scotland, I was surprised to see Scottish money in circulation from three different banks along side Bank of England notes. Seemed a bit odd at the time, especially when compared to the mainland and being able to use Euros from the North Sea right down to the toe of Italy :?
