setting the oil pump
just fitted a replacement oil pump as my old one was leaking.
you've got one line and 3 dots.
the adjustment bolt/screw is fully in .
when you open the throttle fully these markers do not exist as they have got way past the line.
how do you set this up correctly.

Not sure what bike you are referring to, on my 500's I line the lines up on oil pump and arm when dot on carb slide is in upper portion of site hole in carb body.

not yet I've posted it off to Shane Woods in Devon.
the leaking one.
got another fitted but the arm will not go back fully
spent a small fortune trying to get this bike running right its one thing after another.
starting to get pissed off with this bike.
this was supposed to be sorted by Peter O'dell but obviously not.
gave him a list of what I think needs doing inc leaking oil pump.
worked on the engine new seals ,rebore.
ask him that I want the bike running right when I get it back .
had 3.5 months so that put paid to my riding winter has arrived.
at last start to ride it once we were allowed.
ran ok but on shut off ,you would think it was running on Kangaroo juice.
put a 32.5 pilot jet it that more or less cured it so the next size up should sort it completely(35)
oil pump was leaking just being stood there.changed that with a replacement from peter o'dell bloody ar stuck.
it wont fully return.

Oil pump arm only returns to off every 60 crankshaft revolutions. Dont try to force it back or it will damage it.

That is a very comprehensive GT750 pump explanation, is it the same as the T/GT500 item. Personally I've never had any issues with T/GT 500 oil pumps, fit and forget after aligning the marks. Guess I've been lucky

Forum member bloop2 sells a T500/T250/T350/GT250 oil pump rebuild kit on eBay. It has all of the o-rings & oil seals.

as for the T/GT pump it work differently to that of the GT750 totally different design.
the pump arm should return on it own without having to push it.
sent my old one of to Shane woods to get it sorted.
the pump with the none return arm is still currently on the bike.
bike is off the road for now till I get my other pump back.
regarding comments on Peter O'dell.
I should make this clear. as for the work on the engine itself everything seems fine and running nicely.
my only gripe is that Peter should've sorted the carb/pump and lastly would not issue an invoice for work done that I requested.
he did say how ever said bring the bike back.
I couldn't do that as it would cost me an extra £250 because I cannot ride the bike back down to him.
anyway I'm letting the matter end here.
